February 23, 2015 - Farm Works Software® has released version 2015.03 of the Office software.

Enhancements include:

• Financial Measures Report (Accounting) – a new reporting feature that uses the 21 financial measures (also known as ratios) that the Farm Financial Standards Council (www.FFSC.org) has outlined in their document "Financial Guidelines for Agriculture".  This report is interactive and allows you to click on any ratio to see how it is computed in order to learn how the values are calculated.  Ratios can be printed for one to five years and can help you understand trends of what is and what is not working on your farm.

• Updated Storage Location Edits for Harvest Jobs (Accounting) – if you edit the crop location for a harvest job (assuming the location for the crop is the field), the program will change the storage location from the old field to the new field.

• Fix for Sales Date Transactions (Accounting) – resolved issue when editing the date of a sale transaction (in Transaction Maintenance) would change the Working Date to the new date.

• Added Right-Click Option to "Assign Crop Enterprise" (Mapping) – it is now possible to select a group of fields on the map and right-click and select "Assign Crop Enterprise" to assign an enterprise to the selected fields.

• Support for for CNH Multi-Swath Data (Mapping) – many enhancements including speed improvements when working with CNH Multi-Swath data.

• Support for Ag Leader Headland Guidance Patterns (Mapping) – the Read Job Data process can now import Ag Leader Headland Guidance Patterns and Write Job Data can export them out.

• Display Marker Data (Mapping) – you can now create and display a legend for marker data from any precision farming display.

• Support for CNH Sugarcane Yield Data (Mapping) – you can now import CNH sugarcane yield data and view a map of the information.

Customers of the Office software who are subscribed to the Update Service Plan (USP) will automatically receive these features by selecting “Check for Updates" located under the Help menu.  Another option is to use the download link: http://www.farmworks.com/support/downloads.php

January 9, 2015 - Farm Works Software® has released version 2015.02 of the Office software.

Enhancements include:

• Updated Support for Livestock (Accounting) – resolved an issue where entering a livestock transaction in Accounting and then going to the Stock program would generate an error.

• Support for Electronic Submission of W-2 & 1099 Data (Accounting)– your W-2 and 1099 forms in Farm Works can now be submitted electronically to the IRS. In addition, this functionality gives you the ability to have your W-2s printed and mailed to your employees/vendors.

• Support for 2014 Federal Tax Forms (W-2, W-3, 1099-Misc and 1096)

• Support for 2014 Federal, FICA, and Medicare Tax Withholding

• Retired Crops Fix for CFX-750 Display (Mapping) – the Write Job Data option for the Trimble CFX-750™ display will no longer write out retired crops, so you can ensure your up-to-date crop list isn’t restricted by the display’s 20 crop limit.

• Improved VRA Map for Print (Mapping) – when printing a VRA map the summary now includes the area applied (which excludes areas with zero rates), and the minimum, average, and maximum rate applied.

• Updated Support for Calculating Length and Area (Mapping) – enhancements for the Length and Area attributes so they will automatically calculate the length of new lines and the size of new areas.

• Crop Summary Report Updated for FSA Reporting (Mapping) – the Crop Summary Report now includes an option to "Group by FSA Info".  When you select this option you'll get sub-totals for FSA Farms, Tracts and Fields. This provides information to better match with FSA reporting.

• Support for Importing Trimble PurePixel & SIS data (Mapping) – added new import functionality for reading PurePixel™ or Soil Information System™ (SIS) data via Read Job Data.

• Improvements to Tracking Replant Dates & Areas (Mapping) – there is now a Job Type for "Planting - Replant". When you replant a field you can use this for the Job Type. The Crop Summary Report and Crop Insurance Submission will include the replant date and area.

• Updated Synchronization for Farm Works Mobile Data (Mapping) – updated the synchronization of Farm Works Mobile data so the data synchronizes with the project that it was created with.

January 7, 2015 - Ag Data Solutions & Kova Fertilizer are teaming up to offer a Farm Works user’s group & training class in Greensburg, IN on January 29, 2015.  This is a great opportunity to learn how to better utilize the software while networking with other users at the same time.

Laptops are welcome, but not required.  If you are bringing your own laptop, please make sure you have the latest version of software installed and registered prior to attending.
